The Process

Ginger will meet and work with you to create a personal design for your home. If needed, a qualified project manager will be assigned to take care of you as your projects unfolds.

1. Introductions

At your convenience, by phone or in person, the first meeting is about mutually determining if we’d like to work together. We familiarize you with WBI and our philosophy and listen to your needs and goals. We’ll review the design process, our fees, and any other questions or concerns you may have. Below is an overview of our usual process.

2. Intake and Agreement

Once we have agreed to work together, we’ll meet you at your home to assess your  space and discuss what changes and additions you’re considering. At this point measurements are made and color and materials are discussed. We talk with you and your family about the activities and mood you want your home to have, so we can create the environment that suites your lifestyle. An estimate of the number of hours it will take to create your design plan will be given to you and agreed after this meeting.

3. Presentation

Through photo’s, floor plans, fabric, paint, flooring samples and other materials we create a custom design plan based on a combination of what we have learned from you and our creativity. The presentation takes place at the WBI studio or your home. At this point the design is tweaked and/or approved into the final plan.

4. Implementation

Once you have approved the design, furnishings and materials are ordered. Painting and construction is scheduled by our project assistant. Our project assistant is there for you, making sure all your needs are met; from answering questions, to arranging deliveries and coordinating with contractors.

5. Accessorizing

A room isn’t complete until accessorized and filled with things that comfort and sooth you. Ginger will complete this final layer with you to create a space that’s completely “you.”

For your convenience, e-Design and “Anytime Hours” are available.
